There is no one listed to contact on this house.
It looks like it was bought 2 years ago and isn’t currently listed for sale.
Is there any more info on this eautiful old home?

The current owner says someone can have the house if they move it. The owner lives next door ay 609 W. Main and wants a larger yard. His name is in the post, but we have no email or phone number.

Wow, what a special house. You might as well move it, because it has foundation issues. To just “have a house”is a great price, leaving money for restoration if the new owner has the know-how and patience to strategize the project. My goodness, the original owner — Revolting Charges, indeed! If he victimized girls in LA, he almost certainly did so in Iowa. I’m glad subsequent owners have happy memories to relate (in with the good energy; out with the bad).

A couple is buying it and the plans are to move it to a new location in town, restore it, with the thoughts that it would be a bed and breakfast and a venue for events such as weddings, parties, etc. There is also a March 2021 walk thru on youtube that Nick did. You can follow the progress of this sale and project on Beth’s blog and website:
http://www.realitydaydream.com. It will literally cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars to restore. If not more. But this marvelous couple is taking this baby on.

The only value on that lot is the house itself. Moving is an insane proposition. Yes, will take hundreds of thousands to rehab, after spending at least that to move. The idea of moving a house might be sexy, but it is insane to move on a property that transferred for $70k two year ago. Talk the owner into selling the house on the lot. That may be what they are fishing for anyway.

Can you tell me the number of the current owner, those that plane to move it, what’s it’s status..
