Save This Old House on 1+ Acre in Rich Square NC Under $55K Pending
200 E Jackson St, Rich Square, NC 27869 $54,900 Pending
OHU50K NOTES
Save this old house. This c.1895 home is a mix of styles, including a bit of Italianate and Classical Revival. The front door’s frosted glass indicates that the house may have an earlier build date in the 1870s with alterations made later.
As you can see, water infiltration is an issue. However, the 1.14 acre parcel is an attractive selling point. I have my eye on some of the contents, too. The Jenny Lind beds and old framed pictures are keepers.

wow!!.. it would be a big project but, if ya can buy it for cash & own it, then finance $50,000 to fix up the place ya could get it respectable for that & that’s not bad.. wish I had $50,000 just sittin around.

Does anyone know if this is the old Bob Vann house? My great Aunt dated Mr. Vann for many, many years. I used to visit them in Rich Square when I was growing up.

What are those boxes hooked up to the fireplaces that I see quite often in these older homes? What is their purpose?

They’re heaters vented through the fireplace.
