Realtor Comments
Historic Redo! One of the first homes built in Superior, this 1870ish home oozes history, and begs to be restored. Needing extensive renovation and repairs, the current owners have stabilized the home with some recent foundation work, and provided a solid new roof. This 4 bdrm home has period natural woodwork, and gorgeous stained glass, and of course its signature turret. Currently the home has been winterized, and the condition of its heating system is unknown, and the home will need top to bottom renovations. But the end reward…. will be incredible!

Family History
Built in 1856, this is one of the first homes built in Superior. It was the home of James Ritchie, (1830-1908) one of the earliest settlers, a lawyer and important figure in Superior. In 1860 he lived in the home with his mother, Annie, who actually was the original owner, and his brother, Thompson, a real estate agent. At that time the property was valued at $25,000, the equivalent of $951,000 today. In 1880, James married Josephine Jones (1857-1883), but sadly she passed away three years later. Two years earlier she had given birth to son James.
