History
This gorgeous Victorian home was built in 1895 for W.T. Leggett, manager of the Dublin Music Company, and his wife, Myrtle. The Classical Revival was added to the east side of the house in 1907. The property was purchased by Michael D. Gallagher, a native of Ireland who owned a mercantile store. Members of the Gallagher family owned the home for 35 years.

This is just stunning. I looked at that flooring and it reminds me of the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. Lucky to have been 3 times. They are still building. However. This is a perfect spot, nice block location. The only thingthat made me miss a beat. The removal of teh fireplace. I, as a buyer, would want a photo if not the material itself. The matrial in this home is just fantastic. Room sizes are perfect.

Wow. This house is a-ma-zing! I followed through to the Niche page and Dublin actually looks good. Good schools. Majority of the residents are homeowners. Taxes will be high, and Texas has some unique problems; but for this beauty, it’s worth it to old house lovers. My hopeful prediction is that remote work environments will become the norm so where you live will become less a function of where the jobs are geographically located. That would enable people to take advantage of bargains like this. I envision groups of Gen Z friends banding together to preserve lovely old houses through a combination of rent/labor/living arrangements. That’s my utopian dream. This house is so, so beautiful. I’d love a new generation to enjoy architecture like this.
