c.1880 Fixer Upper Historic Italianate in Baraboo, WI $100K
It looks sad now, but this fixer upper was once the home of George Ruhland. Built in 1880, the George Ruhland (1847-1903) house was owned by the owner of Ruhland Brewery. The cream brick Italianate did not originally have that unsightly porch addition. Ruhland’s son Charles’ c.1908 brick home is next door. Charles’ house was sold in 2013 for $1 with restoration covenants, and added to theNational Register of Historic Places in 2017. You can see the interior of Charles’ house here.
On the other side of George’s home, stood the brewery, now gone.
