Under $75K Thursday – c.1945 Army Bunker For Sale Reduced to $60K – in World’s Largest Doomsday Bunker Community
OHU50K Notes $69,900 Reduced to $60,000
Now this is novel! A c.1945 army bunker for sale in the world’s largest doomsday bunker community. From 1945 to 1967, this area was known as the Black Hills Ordinance Depot for the US Army. It was built by the Army Corps of Engineers and held all sorts of munitions. Today, the old depot is touted as the “ultimate off-grid survival community.” Hundreds of bunkers dot the land for which Vivos xPoint now holds the lease.
The community is an hour off a paved road where you can hear yourself think and be surrounded by nature. I remember seeing the video about this place a couple of years back. I included it below, along with a picture of a finished out bunker.

Realtor Comments
All bunkers feature a standard 26.5 foot interior floor width, with lengths of 60 feet and 80 feet, each with a 12.5 foot high ceiling to the top of the interior arch. Each bunker includes a concrete floor and steel blast door, that seals to stop any water, air or gas permeation; air and exhaust ventilation shafts, and a secondary emergency exit. This bunker has flooring in place, water hookup and air filtration/blast valves. Vivos xPoint is located just south of the City of Edgemont. The Black Hills Army Base was originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers as a fortress to store bombs and munitions, from 1942 to 1967, when the base was completely retired. Lease is owned by Vivos XPoint. Potential buyer will need to make application and Owner must approve all purchases and leases.

This certainly would not make me a “Black Hills Dreamer”. You also have to worry about the water…a lot of toxins from mining and mining testing for uranium.
