History
In 1885, the railroad came through the town, then called Deer Trial. In 1897, the John Hein Company settled there, and the town was renamed after Hein’s son, Tony. The Hein Company owned the mill as well as most of the businesses in town. Tee population of Tony reached 400 by the early 1900s. Today it is 113.
