Second Empires saw their heyday from 1855 to 1885. Although I couldn’t find the original owner of this home, in the 1910s most of the residents of this street worked for the electric power plant or foundry. I can picture the breadwinner trudging up the hill after a hard’s day of work and warming by one of the many fireplaces.
