Family History

From the 1910s to the 1950s, this home was owned free and clear by the Milne family. William R. Milne  (1878-1937) and his wife, Barbara lived here with their children, William, James, Richard, Stetson and Stuart. Ralph was a granite cutter for  Harrison Granite Company. His native country was Scotland, and despite coming to the US at the age of 14, he had a thick Scottish brogue. William served in the Spanish American War, then married in Barbara in 1902.
