Family History
I believe this home, and its sister next door, likely were originally owned by prominent businessmen who had business at the South end of James Street. It was was broken up into apartments, however, by the early 1920s. So many lives have passed through since then. David L. Sheldon, a teacher, lived here in 1924. Mrs. H.H. Hicks lived here and held oral and dramatic expression lessons in the home in 1926. In 1947, Mrs. Dan Trueblood held church socials in the home. The list goes on.
