West Virginia handyman special

Brick c.1910 West Virginia Handyman Special Under $40K

OHU50K Notes $39,900

I love the original elements packed into this West Virginia handyman special! The brick beauty was built around 1910 and features unpainted woodwork, pocket doors, hardwood floors, 5-panel doors, ceiling medallions, and wonderful fireplaces. Just the cast iron fencing alone is worth the price of admission!

Oh my goodness, what a gem! These brick houses with bay windows are so common here. They’re good strong houses. Winters are not as bad here as they used to be, and I’ve been hearing how this area of the country is seen as a future “climate refuge.” Summers, though short, are plenty hot and most houses like this have no cooling. This is easily remedied with ceiling fans and window AC units. Take it from one who knows 🙂
