In the 1910s and ’20s, this was the home of Eldon R.C. Baker, publisher of the local weekly newspaper. He lived here with his wife Itolia, children Elizabeth, Robert and Paul, and his brother Lewis who was a printer at the newspaper. It must have been a lovely home back then, but today the fixer upper has been broken up into apartments. At least the lancet window, staircase, cast iron radiators and some vintage kitchen cupboards were left untouched.
