A cute red brick house that would look even more adorable decorated with green garland and red bows for Christmas, a wreath on the door!

Family History

This 2-unit house was originally a single family home. In the 1920s and at least into the 1950s, Fred Caron, a barbershop owner, and his wife, Margaret, owned the home, residing here with son John. When Fred’s brother, Frank, passed away in 1939 at the young age of 42, the funeral was held in this home. Apparently, Fred’s son John and the son of the owner of the local funeral home  became friends and graduated from mortuary school together in 1944. When John married in 1947, the home was split into a 2-unit so the newlyweds had a place to live. It appears the kitchen cabinets were replaced at that time.
