Family History

Here we have the Swenson Home. The family owned the home from the 1920s to the 1940s. Charles M. Swenson (1873-1933) and his wife Trena (1879-1966) both had emigrated to the area from Denmark with their families as children. Around 1890 and 1896, they respectively became naturalized US citizens and were married in 1899.

Charles was a plasterer. The couple lived in the home with their children, Leslie and Florence. After Charles passed away in 1933, the family continued to live in the home until around 1949 when Florence became ill and passed away.
