Family History
Alton Simmons (1857-1922) had the house built in 1912. The bank teller owned the house outright with his wife Alice and his adult stepson Robert Geddes. Mr. Simmons only lived here for 10 years before he passed away in 1922.

This house is known as the Alton Simmons House. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, along with 26 other Ward Wellington Ward houses in the Syracuse area. It’s “cheap-ish” only because it’s in a marginal area of Syracuse, but I agree it’s definitely stunning!
