The first record of St. Lawrence Catholic Church is listed in the 1870 Catholic Directory. The parish was originally part of St. Patrick’s in Brasher Falls. It wasn’t until 1886 that St. Lawrence got its own resident pastor. A number of pastors served over the decades until 1990, when the parish joined with St. Patrick’s again.
