It is always interesting to see what old houses under $50K have recently sold for. I find that the move-in ready homes and homes with some land or water views usually sell for around asking price, if not more. On the other hand, fixer uppers and homes in shady neighborhoods often take big cuts, like some of the homes below.

(The house at the bottom of the page once sat across the street from our featured home. During last years of its life, it served as an antique store. An electrical fire destroyed the home.)
