Family History
The realtor’s build date of 1900 is off as the newspaper article below has the wedding of Anna Richardson taking place in her home in 1895. Anna (aka Annie) was a 38-year-old widow with two young children, John and Louisa, when she married L. C. Brown, a successful businessman in 1895. Anna initially owned the home with her first husband Mark, Richardson, who passed away in early 1892. It appears Anna and her second husband continued to live in this home, and the couple had three daughters together, Marion, Eleanor and Virginia.

Beautiful circa 1900 fixer upper with so much charm. Spacious 8 bedrooms and 2.5 baths on almost an acre of property. Bring it back to life! One block from the elementary school.

Such a grand edifice. I hear that the state of Kansas will provide rehab assistance for qualified buyers. The only other item that would make this an exquisite buy would be cast-iron radiators.

I am absolutely in love with this house! Having a disabled adult child the elevator would be amazing! ❤

Before the pandemic I remodeled vintage mansions in KC. With plaster Repair, Sheetrock, new electrical, plumbing and hvac it would probably take about $250,000 to bring back to modern life.

This house has a large amount of potential and I am surprised that a investor hasn’t purchased it yet.
For me personally, I would purchase it a d convert it to a B&B or convert it into a homeless shelter for families in need, or just purchase it for myself and move in….

I would never update it I would repaint and rent a sander and redo the floors. It’s beautiful I would want to keep it as close to the period as possible.

Hi I’m inquiring about your old house in nickerson Kansas the fixer upper one. How much land does it come with and it looks in town? How close is it to the nearest house or is it on the end of town? Would you do payments since it’s a fixer upper house and would you take 2,000 down and 500 a month since it needs work? Thanks.
