Wow, this house has so much to recommend it. The kitchen’s roomier than most in a house this old. I wonder if that little school desk conveys? I considered Springfield when I was househunting for an old house under $50K in 2019. I stayed there when looking at houses in Springfield and Decatur. Springfield struck me as a bit dreary, but in defense, it was January. Springfield has a beautiful big park with a water feature where people walk dogs, jog, and ride bikes. Springfield is all about Abe Lincoln, because that was his hometown.
