History
In 1909, W.A. Chamberlain wanted to trade his new house at 213 N. 5th for a vacant lot with water and sewer connections (Today the house has both). By 1919, Frank Houte (1880-1957), a superintendent at the cutlery works, owned the home with his wife Anna Brown Houte (1880-1976). They resided here with their children Maxine and Wallace for at least 30 years.
